Lewd Souls is one of the ways that I heard Night Of Revenge described and I think that is an awesome description of it! Look, we have a game here that is full of giant boobs, hardcore hentai scenes and so on. However, I do appreciate that the brains behind the game have at least tried to make this an actual “game” so that right there has my interest peaked.
Fight, Loot, Bang
There is a story that is happening in Night Of Revenge, but the translation from Japanese to English is not exactly the best. The basics are you are a smoking hot warrior who is out to save the day and of course get involved in many sexual exploits as you do. The style of the game is pretty cool and while as I said I am not exactly sure what is going on, I do like the presentation and think that if the game does get a better translation that I could be invested in what is happening.
Easy, But Hard On The Eyes
As I said the presentation in Night Of Revenge is great. I like games that go for a 2D kind of art style and I think that saying this is a 16-bit game is doing it a massive disservice. If anything, I would say that it is kind of like a cross between Bloodstained and a 2D version of the soul’s games. The game has a dark and moody look to it. The hentai scenes are very hardcore and the rape stuff never really sits well with me so that is something to consider.
Please Don’t Hurt me
I like to think of myself as a more experienced gamer, but man this game kicked my butt and had me turning the difficulty down! Hey, there is no shame in that! The game plays like a Metroidvania style of game. You will explore this large dark and gloomy area, fighting all kinds of creatures. The combat is rather basic, but I like it. You can dish out these badass combos and you have a decent selection of weapons that you collect as you progress through the game.
There is clearly a lot of love in the development of Night Of Revenge, but it does play it rather safe. The hentai action is always going to be debate as far as what that is like. However, I think that is really what makes this game stand out from the many others like it.
I think that Night Of Revenge is a very interesting game. It gets quite frequent updates and I am actually very interested to see what the next update does. It is very challenging and I would say that most people will end up playing through this because they like the gameplay more than the actual hentai scenes.
